Children may choose to eat a school dinner, cooked on the premises, or they may bring a packed lunch from home.
School dinners cost £2.30 each day and we ask that the money be paid in advance. School meals are paid for on-line at Parent Pay (www.parentpay.co.uk). If you think your child is entitled to free school meals please contact the school administrator, Mrs Dalby, in the school office. She will be able to advise you of the necessary procedures. Children taking hot school dinners are able to choose from the day’s menu during registration.
Packed lunches should be brought to school in a box or bag which is easy to carry. There are many suitable boxes and bags available in shops, but please remember to clearly label your child’s container with his/her name on the outside.
We try to encourage our pupils to be aware of healthy foods and would encourage you to bear this in mind when preparing your child’s lunch box. e.g. fizzy drinks and sweets are not allowed and crisps and chocolate are discouraged.
We expect children to have good table manners.
